My Mission President Yelled at Me

Hi everyone!

Don't worry I didn't get in trouble. Since this is my first transfer as district leader I participated in “new leadership training” and part of it was learning how to correct and work with other missionaries when they're being disobedient. So our mission president chose one of us to role play correcting a disobedient missionary in front of everyone else and that just happened to be me. The scenario was this: a missionary is getting up late and calling his girlfriend throughout the week, and I need to talk to him about it. Well, when I brought it up he just went off and started to yell at me and get in my face and totally chewed me out. It was the most terrifying, and funny, thing ever. Seeing my mission president go totally crazy yelling at me was nuts. I survived the role play and he gave me a big hug. Was definitely not expecting that at all!

Other than the beat down I endured, it was a good week. The ward in Pendleton is pretty small but really close to each other. It seems like there are quite a few people with lots of potential we can begin teaching soon.. There are 7 missionaries in pendleton 4 elders and 3 sisters and we are about an hour from all the other missionaries so we do a lot together and it is super fun. I'm really excited to be here.

It was sad to leave Burbank though….after being there for 7.5 months, a lot of the people I met, felt like family. I guess this is just one of those growing experiences you deal with on a mission.

Love y’all!
