Happy Thanksgiving
Hi everyone!
Hope y’all had a great Thanksgiving! I had an awesome Thanksgiving! We got to join the turkey bowl with a bunch of kids in the area on Thanksgiving which was super fun. The football team here in Burbank is really good and hadn't lost in 2 years until last week so the game was pretty competitive haha. Then we had dinner with the bishop and his family which was also super fun. Their youngest who is 7 asked if we could sleep over and I told him that if we did he had to get up at 6:30 so he told me he would set an alarm for 5 am instead so we have more time to play haha. He then made a song about me on the guitar. It was a short song but pretty awesome lol.
I also enjoyed Thanksgiving because i was able to think about everything I am thankful for because of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. They love us so much and give us so much everyday.
I love Mosiah 2:20:
"…render all the thanks and praise which your whole soul has power to possess, to that God who has created you, and has kept and preserved you, and has caused that ye should rejoice, and has granted that ye should live in peace one with another"
Elder Peterson has completed his 2 years and Elder Anderson is going to Argentina, his original assignment, so I'm staying here in Burbank and will be training a brand new missionary. I'm pretty nervous because i still feel like a new missionary. I only finished my training a transfer ago, but if the Lord feels like I am ready, then I know I can do it with lots of his help, which i know he is happy to give me.
Love y’all
Elder Lowry
