Finally at the Provo MTC
Hi everyone!
I got to the Provo MTC yesterday afternoon, but today is my pday so I havent had many classes yet. When we got there we unpacked and met our district in person which was super fun. Last night we had a devotional about the character of Christ and it was awesome. There were some really powerful experiences shared. Also i just want to say that the mtc chocolate milk was way overrated. People made it sound like drinking the mtc chocolate milk was like some life changing experience but it was just like any other chocolate milk you could get at heb. There are only 377 missionaries here right now so it's a lot emptier then normal.
I also just want to share a quick story that to me shows how much my heavenly father loves us and cares about us personally.
Last Friday my grandma Allen passed away, it was expected, but it still hit me really hard. She was like real life super woman to me. But it turns out that I my mtc teacher, sister terry is related to me. Her grandma is my grandma Allen's sister. So we've been to family reunions together and my mom grew up hanging out with her dad and aunts and uncles. My mom recognized her and told me how we are connected. So my mtc teacher knew grandma Allen and knew the situation and had been asking me how she is doing. Grandma Allen loved random family connections and she also loved the mtc. She told me that she felt Christ and his angles walk the halls of the mtc. I know that grandma Allen is so excited to see me serving a mission and at the mtc with a relative as my teacher. I also know that sister terry being my mtc teacher was not a coincidence. That was heavenly father looking out for me.
I've havent had a chance to take any pictures at the mtc but here are some pictures with my family before I left
Hope everyone is going good sorry the email is super long
